About Our School
Our History & Heritage
A journey of excellence since 1880
A Legacy of Learning
Established on April 3, 1880, Bindu Basini Government Boys' High School began its journey as Graham English High School. Named after the then Deputy Magistrate of Mymensingh, Harold Graham, the school was founded by education enthusiasts and government officials who envisioned a center of academic excellence in Tangail.
In 1887, Rani Bindubasini Roy Chowdhurany took over the school's operational costs, and the school was renamed in her honor. Her sons, zamindars Pramathanath Roy Chowdhury and Sir Manmathanath Roy Chowdhury, donated lands for the school's permanent campus.
The school was nationalized on February 1, 1970, and has since grown to become one of Bangladesh's most prestigious secondary educational institutions.
